simple equipment

I'm an old fasioned person, in photography and life. And when it comes to photography, simple is best! After all, any camera is just a box with film at the back and a lens at the front. Lens optional in the case of a pinhole camera. I started with a Brownie, moved up through to a Minolta XK 35mm system, and am now moving back(?) to large format where it's hard to get simpler (or bigger). Although I personally would have a hard time being restricted to any single lens, there's certainly nothing wrong with your camera. I can remember when it came out. Got very good reviews and a lot of people I knew used them. I was a Mamiya fan at that time. I also remember having only the 50mm lens. Involved a lot more walking ;-)

I also used to use Kodak films, chemicals, paper, etc. exclusively. And unfortunately, my ethics are getting in the way of continuing that. I'd rather buy film from a company that takes care of it's employees. And if that has to be a company in another country, so be it. There are some European film manufacturers that make great film, some very similar to the old Kodak stuff that can't be gotten any more. It honestly breaks my heart to not buy Kodak. I had a lot of pride in that American company, but not so much any more...

I'l look forward to your shots!
