Message Defaults

Set your defaults to become a "registered user" and have the message boards look the way you want them to. You don't have to fill in any more information than you'd like. There are entries for a pretty complete biography (date of birth, etc.) but these are not required. You can simply change the 'defaults' of how the message boards work for you and leave out the personal info if you'd like.
Also, the 'defaults' work by using cookies sent to your computer. That's how the MB knows a registered user is using the MB. If you are set up to not allow cookies, the defaults will not work...
